Coir is a natural fiber extracted from the husk of coconut and has been used for centuries to make ropes, floor coverings, doormats, brushes and mattresses. Coir floor coverings make excellent surfaces, as they are non-skid, anti-static, hardwearing and excellent for noise attenuation.
Coir Mattings roll out the natural warmth of coir. The craftsman weave elegant designs and patterns in natural, bleach and solid colours to make it a delightful sight to the viewer. Coir mattings is used as floor coverings, end to end carpeting, wall and roof paneling.The excellent acoustic properties of coir have made Coir Mattings the most sought after material in echo-control. It is widely used in industrial environments as a liquid absorbent and its resistance to salt water has made it best choice for pavement mats in bleaches and during times of ice fall. Latex backing can be provided to enhance the durability and for ease of use. The water proof nature of coir makes mattings free from dampness and moles to a great extend. It comes in two shafts, three shafts, four shafts and ribbed weaving in rolls of 25 to 50 meters long and 60 to 180 cms wide.
- PVC Tufted Mats -
PVC tufted (backed) mats and rolls are made by tufting natural coir fibre into PVC backing. The vinyl backing provides anti slipping and ensures very low fibre shredding properties. The advantage is that these mats can be easily cut to any size or shape providing a completely clean and safe edge that will not fray. PVC Rolls are also available with a maximum width of 2mtr, can be produced in varying thickness of 15mm, 17mm, 20 mm, 23 mm & 28 MM.
