Coir Erosion control bags are made of strong coir yarns with latex backing. It is used for the purpose of flood control, erosion control, separation, filtration and drainage in civil engineering works and agricultural uses. Bags can be filled with local sands or soil. Shaped like a wooden log, Coco Logs are coir fibre thickly filled inside tube shaped coir netting.
The diameter of the Coco Log varies from 15 to 50 cms and come in lengths of 2 to 6 meters.
These are mainly used for absorbing the impact of waves in erosion prone areas.The main area
of application is stream bank protection against wave splashing and erosion control.
